Construction is underway at one of our sites in Warren County, New Jersey! The former industrial property was initially proposed for redevelopment and residential use, multi-use, and a public park in the late 2000s. Throughout the years, Whitman has provided oversight of the active remediation and construction for the removal of historic fill material from the proposed residential area, as well as the relocation of the material to non-residential areas for capping.

Whitman assisted with the consolidation of soil from two separate areas of concern based on like-to-like contaminants. This resulted in a reduction of the overall footprint of contaminated areas — over 32,000 cubic yards of clean soil was imported from four separate sources!

As of recent, Whitman aided with the completion of planting trees on the north end of the property. All efforts are now being shifted onto the multi-use area on the south end. Demarcation and utilities have also been recently added to the area in preparation for the future building.

Whitman’s staff is fully trained on the complexities of challenging environmental regulations, and we are sensitive to the details and specific procedures required by agency regulators and Licensed Site Remediation Professionals (LSRPs). This presents our clients with a more professional and technical approach to construction management and provides a smooth transition between design and field implementation for difficult environmental remediation projects.
