Overview

Whitman provided professional Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and Fire Protection (MEPF) design services for two new three-story, mixed-use residential buildings at Monroe Park located in Monroe Township, New Jersey.

Each apartment located in the buildings contains a gas-fired stove, dryer, water heater and HVAC unit, electrical panel, plumbing and an associated condensing unit for cooling.

The fire protection scope of work included the performance specification showing the required fire protection criteria.

Whitman’s design also included locating new life safety devices connected to each new building fire alarm system.

The plumbing scope of work includes the design for the new domestic (hot and cold including hot water generation), natural gas, sanitary vent and gas piping to support the proposed buildings.

The mechanical scope of work included the design of new split systems with associated supply branch ductwork for each apartment. The design also included new exhaust for the proposed bathrooms and dryer vents.

The electrical scope of work includes the design for the power and lighting circuits for the proposed building.
