Overview

Whitman provided a Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Systems Condition Assessment for various buildings at Essex County College, including the Dr. A. Zachary Yamba Physical Education & Child Development Center, Parking Deck, Center for Technology and Clare E. Dasher Student Center buildings.

The total area of the aforementioned buildings is approximately 600,000 sf.  Whitman’s professionals visited the buildings, reviewed all plans, as-built drawings and other pertinent documentation, visually reviewed the main building MEP systems, and provided a report on overall conditions of various elements of the systems.

Whitman also provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering services for renovations of various buildings at Essex County College.  At the Martin Luther King Library, Whitman performed services to provide new lighting, ceilings, bathroom facilities, and to redistribute the air supply.  Alterations were made to the Admission Services Center and Dormitory Sprinkler Project. The West Essex Campus received fire alarm and security upgrades. Additionally, five-year planning was laid out for all four campuses.
