Whitman is currently seeking an EPA/AHERA Accredited Asbestos Building Inspector with 3 to 5 years of experience to join our Somerset, New Jersey office.
Responsibilities:
- Perform inspections for asbestos, mold, lead based paint and indoor air quality
- Conduct detailed surveys for asbestos-containing materials, lead based paint, and mold
- Maintain, operate, and calibrate a variety of sampling equipment
- Interpretation of analytical data
- Assignments are of varying complexity and under direction of a project manager
- Timeliness, time management, meeting deadlines and responsiveness to emergencies is vital
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience performing building surveys for asbestos, lead based paint, and mold in public and private owned facilities.
- Current EPA/AHERA Asbestos Building Inspector Accreditation
- Willingness to learn, be trained, and obtain New Jersey Asbestos Safety Technician (AST) Certification and New Jersey Lead Risk Assessor/Inspector Certification within 1 year.
