Whitman has qualified staff to conduct Building Inspection Services to help identify environmental and/or insurance liability issues that may be occurring at your property.

For commercial or industrial property owners that lease space to companies, who may utilize the leasehold for storing, producing and/or manufacturing various items, Whitman will conduct a visual inspection in order to evaluate and verify that proper environmental regulations and requirements are being abided by the tenant/lessee, and that general safe and clean housekeeping practices are being conducted at the property.

Is your company subject to insurance audits?

Whitman can assess your risk ahead of time, giving you time to correct any issues that may exist at your property before your insurance company conducts their annual inspections.

We perform both interior and exterior visual inspections to identify and assess:

  • Environmental issues or violations of state and local permits/regulations;
  • Whether housekeeping practices are in line with what your insurance carriers would be looking for and assessing during their annual risk audits;
  • Proper storage of general items as well as hazardous chemicals are being implemented;
  • Slip or trip hazards, such as uneven pavement, potholes, pooling, leaking, etc.; and
  • General building condition.

In addition, Industrial Site Recovery Act (ISRA) compliance database searches can be performed for those tenant operations that are subject to ISRA.

If you need to conduct a building inspection, here are some additional services to consider that Whitman can provide:

  • Property Condition Assessments
  • System and Equipment Condition Assessment
  • Hazardous Materials Assessments
  • Asbestos, Lead & Mold investigations
  • Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) Services
  • Fire Suppression System Evaluations
  • Energy Audits / Lighting and Equipment Upgrades
  • Solar Design and Upgrades
  • Drone Services, to help examine rooftop existing conditions

If you are in need of any of the services listed above, please contact us!  We’re happy to meet with you and discuss your company’s needs and budget, and ensure you are achieving compliance with all regulations.
