It’s graduation season and we’d like to extend a special congratulations to the children (and grandchildren!) of some of our Whitman staff members!

Whitman President/CEO Michael Wellet’s daughter Courtney graduated high school and will be attending the University of Scranton in the fall where she has been accepted into the Doctor of Physical Therapy program. After 7 years she plans to walk out of the doors with her Doctorate degree.  She is an avid softball player and will also be pitching for the University of Scranton’s softball team!   Michael’s youngest daughter Danica celebrates graduating the 1st grade and is excited for what the 2nd grade has in store!

Zachary Case, son of Whitman Senior Vice President David Case, graduated Magna Cum Laude from Seton Hall University with a B.S. Degree in Accounting and a minor in Spanish.  Zach will be returning to Seton Hall in the fall as part of a 5-year program to complete his M.S. in Professional Accounting.

Whitman Principal Ira Whitman’s granddaughter Hazel Solender graduated from Northeastern University with a double major in Sociology and Political Science.  Following her virtual completion of courses at home in New Jersey, she is going back to Boston to begin a summer job, and later a permanent job as a consultant in Human Resources.

Whitman Engineering Technical Manager Kathy Kane’s daughter Jennifer is graduating this year from Spotswood High School.  Jenn will be attending NJIT in the fall majoring in computer science.

Miranda Scalzo, daughter of Whitman’s Head Bookkeeper Diane Scalzo, has obtained her B.S. degree in Cognitive Science from the University of Delaware.  She will be pursuing a Doctorate degree in Audiology at James Madison University in the fall.

Congratulations to the entire Class of 2020!
