Why Do I Need to Conduct Training?

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires employers to provide training for workers who face hazards on the job. Many OSHA standards include explicit safety and health training requirements to ensure that workers have the required skill sets and knowledge to safely complete their work. Of the 10 most frequently cited OSHA standards for 2017, half of them included citations for not properly training employees. OSHA citations can range from $7,000 to $70,000 per violation.

Here at Whitman, we can assist with any of your OSHA training needs. Some of the different training requirements might include:

  • Awareness Training
  • Emergency Training
  • Supervisor Training
  • Standard-Specific Training

What Are the Benefits?

Safety training for workers allows them to do their jobs well. Training is an investment that will pay back over time, resulting in less injuries and illnesses. Proper safety training can also help to boost morale and lower insurance costs.
