Overview

Whitman provided electrical design and construction support for Whole Foods in Brooklyn, NY. The design included a 306-kW solar carport consisting of six carport canopies and (1,044) 300-watt solar modules.

The project provides Whole Foods with approximately 25% of their energy needs and is part of their green initiative. This green initiative includes 20,000 ft2 of roof top greenhouse and storm water collection for reuse.

Whitman staff prepared the electrical design drawings and supported the submission with the New York City Department of Buildings.
