Overview

Whitman provided solar engineering design services of a system consisting of 173,420 (330 watt) solar modules located on a former farm in Orangeburg County, South Carolina. The project was teamed by local civil engineers and substation engineers, along with Whitman, all working under the direction of the EPC. Whitman staff assisted with the overall system layout, inverter placement and electrical system design from modules to substation termination. Resources were shared in verification of grounding requirements between the substation engineers, as well as providing civil engineers with a single stakeout file of rack post locations, equipment areas and conduit trench paths.

The project was completed and activated at the end of 2018. Whitman provided an on-site final completion walk through and record drawings.
