Overview

Whitman was hired to coordinate all efforts to clean out waste material from the inside and outside of a former warehouse in Trenton, New Jersey that was destined for re-sale.

The services included identifying and implementing a procedure to manage and remove all types of waste present in the warehouse, including general trash, recyclable material (i.e. wood), hazardous waste, liquid waste, universal waste, and electronic waste.  Whitman provided permitted roll-off containers to separately collect wood, metal, and general trash for ultimate disposal/recycling.

Whitman repacked all hazardous, universal and electronic waste into New Jersey Department of Transportation (DOT)-approved containers (i.e. cubic-yard boxes, drums and pails) for proper transportation and disposal.  Whitman provided all labor and equipment to transfer the material safely from upper floors to a central staging area at ground level.  Once properly classified, profiled and approved at the permitted disposal facilities, Whitman loaded all of the waste material, coordinated the scheduling of all waste pickups, and completed all the proper shipping documentation for each load.

Everything was managed in compliance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and DOT requirements.
