Whitman is looking to hire an Environmental Machine Operator as a contract employee to work on an as-needed project specific basis.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. Heavy equipment may include excavators, trucks, front-end loaders, dozers, graders, compactors, snow blowers and other pieces of equipment. Coordinate maintenance of all equipment on the job site.
- Various laborer activities, as needed, to complete environmental remediation and construction projects. Duties may include but will not be limited to cleaning and preparing construction sites; loading and unloading materials and equipment; and digging trenches, compacting earth and backfilling holes.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum of 10 years of heavy equipment operation.
- Must be able to work in all outdoor weather conditions.
- May need to work an occasional weekend and nights to meet the needs of our clients. At times less than 24-hour notice is required during emergency callouts.
