Whitman’s Senior VP of Operations Mike Russo delivered a presentation at the Construction Roundtable of New Jersey’s (CRTNJ) General Membership Lunch Meeting this past Friday, April 14th at the Metuchen Golf & Country Club in Edison, NJ. Mike joined a panel of presenters at the meeting to address the topic of “Hazardous Substances at the Jobsite” and presented the specific segment “What to Look for During the Contractor Bidding and Construction Phase”.
Mike discussed the process of reviewing various bid documents, red flags to look out for during bid walks, the use of NJDEP Geoweb as an additional research tool, soil and groundwater testing at the project site, and the benefit of having an Environmental consultant on Retainer to respond to emergent issues.
