Whitman is proud to announce that Staff Scientist Emily Dallas has obtained her New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Radon Measurement Technician Certification.

Emily earned this certification by completing the required 16-hour Radon Measurement Proficiency online course, approved by the National Radon Proficiency Program (NRPP), and subsequently passing the rigorous NJ Radon Measurement Specialist Exam.  Having gained an understanding of radon and its associated health risks, as well as thorough knowledge of measurement techniques and testing protocols, Emily is now certified to test for radon gas for real estate, commercial and multifamily purposes, and individual homeowner tests.

Her certification helps strengthen Whitman’s wide array of Industrial Hygiene Services that we can offer clients.

Emily joined Whitman in 2018.  As Staff Scientist, she is responsible for the collection of groundwater, soil, and sediment samples for investigations relating to remediation.  In addition to radon, she is responsible for indoor air quality sampling related to vapor intrusion.  Emily also has experience conducting due diligence investigations and wetland delineations.  Emily holds a B.S. in Environmental Science from Sweet Briar College in Virginia.
