Whitman CEO Michael Wellet, P.E., C.P.E. has accepted a Board of Advisors position at Seton Hall University’s Stillman School of Business, with the school’s Transformative Leadership Program.

As a member of the Board of Advisors, Mr. Wellet will participate in a curriculum development advisory role with his real-world experience providing hands-on training that prepares students to ask relevant questions, manage and lead others, and communicate opportunities and strategies.  The curriculum will help train individuals to make sense of complex new business models, as well as prepare them to analyze, manage, and build experiences that are unique and valuable in the marketplace.

In response to his role, Mr. Wellet stated, “I am excited and honored to accept this advisory board position at such a prestigious learning institution and am grateful to be able to positively impact the development of young professionals.”

Mr. Wellet has over 25 years of experience in the engineering and environmental services, operations management, plant management, production as well as executive management and business leadership fields. His areas of technical expertise include process, chemical, automation and flammability/combustibility consulting engineering. Mike actively mentors staff of all levels to help maximize their professional growth.

Mike holds a B.S./M.S. in Chemical Engineering and an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology, MBA from the University of Texas, DBA from Liberty University (May 2022) as well as graduate certificates in Advanced Business and Executive Leadership from Cornell University. He is a licensed Professional Engineer as well as a Certified Plant Engineer.
