Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), sometimes referred to as Stationary Battery Storage Solutions, are energy optimization systems designed to store electrical energy for later use.  The batteries receive electricity from the power grid, directly from the power station, or from a renewable energy source such as solar panels, and subsequently stores it then discharges when desired.
