PROJECT HIGHLIGHT

Whitman’s Environmental Services Team is currently supporting a residential redevelopment project involving the remediation of a historic fill site impacted by metals in soil.

To support the project schedule and protect the surrounding community, Whitman rapidly implemented a comprehensive Perimeter Air Monitoring program and provided environmental oversight throughout remedial activities to help ensure work was completed safely and in compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.

Working collaboratively with the project team, a soil stabilization approach was developed that allowed impacted soils to be managed through a more cost-effective disposal pathway. Whitman played a key role in identifying and securing disposal facilities capable of accepting the treated material, helping to streamline project logistics and reduce overall disposal costs.

Through coordination of disposal operations, environmental compliance oversight, and remedial activity management, Whitman helped facilitate the safe removal and beneficial management of more than 10,000 tons of impacted soil, supporting the successful advancement of the redevelopment project.

Whitman provides a full range of environmental consulting, remediation, regulatory compliance, and construction support services to public and private sector clients. Our team delivers practical, cost-effective solutions that help move complex projects from planning through completion.
