Michael Metlitz, LSRPPrincipal LSRP

Mike has over 30 years of experience in the environmental engineering field, including regulatory compliance and permitting projects for industrial facilities. He is responsible for leading Whitman’s Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) program and is Whitman’s LSRP assigned to NJSDA projects.  Mike has significant experience in the environmental remediation requirements under the New Jersey Site Remediation Reform Act.  He is responsible for ensuring that all Whitman staff members are current on environmental laws and policy changes. In addition, as a former NJDEP Case Manager, he managed over 40 ECRA projects, several of which were multi-million dollar cleanup liability situations.

Mike holds an M.S. in Environmental Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University. He is also certified as a Licensed Site Remediation Professional.

Mike is a devoted runner and has participated in races from 5Ks to marathons. He has qualified for and run the Boston Marathon four times and his favorite running partner is his black lab. When not at work, Mike enjoys sailing his catamaran in Sandy Hook Bay and recently added a kayak to his fleet. He also enjoys traveling with his family and has been to all 50 states.
