Barry is the Chief Executive Officer of the firm with over 33 years of experience in positions of leadership and authority in the environmental and engineering field; 30+ years with Whitman. As CEO, Barry has overall responsibility of the firm’s business units and for implementing the firm’s strategic vision and identifying new and emerging business markets and services. He has provided expert testimony on various matters involving environmental issues. He is a recognized expert in coordinating the investigation, remediation and redevelopment of environmental contamination and construction activities on brownfield redevelopment projects. Barry has also been personally involved with securing more than $20 million in reimbursements for brownfield redevelopment projects located throughout New Jersey. His passion for brownfield redevelopment and renewable energy has driven the firms’ efforts in successfully developing solar energy systems on several closed landfills on the east coast. He serves on the Board of Directors of Pro-Tech Energy Solutions, LLC, a leading solar energy development and construction firm and CoGen Power Solutions, LLC, a leading energy development and financing firm.
Barry holds M.S. and B.S. degrees in Chemical Engineering from Rutgers University and is a licensed Professional Engineer in the states of New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky, Utah, Rhode Island, Maryland and Florida.
Barry is an avid baseball and overall sports fan which can be traced back to his roots in the Bronx, New York. He and his youngest son have made annual trips to various sports Hall of Fames and sports venues across the country. Barry is also a car enthusiast and his latest project was the restoration of a 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS.
