Asbestos and lead-based paint have been a growing concern for everyone from building occupants, construction workers, commercial property owners, developers, and public sector divisions, like schools and state agencies.
Asbestos and lead-based paint are typically one of the first items dealt with on projects involving building renovation and construction. This highlights the importance of developing an accurate scope of work and bid specification to commit the abatement contractor to a firm cost and schedule. Delays are unacceptable.
Whitman has a full professional staff of AHERA trained personnel, licensed Asbestos Safety Technicians and Lead Inspectors/Risk Assessors to survey, monitor and manage these projects. Whitman staff is also part of the AAR, so that we have the ability to “read” asbestos samples on-site. Whether for public or private projects, Whitman is knowledgeable in the permitting process and the applicable rules and regulations governing this work.
Asbestos and lead-based paint projects typically require our staff to work during off hours and weekends. Our staff accepts this challenge. Our mission is to get the work done so that the overall project moves forward.
