Senior Environmental Engineer (Remediation Systems)
Whitman is looking for a Senior Environmental Engineer specializing in Remediation System Design with at least 10 years hands on experience in remediation systems design and O&M of Soil Vapor extraction systems, ground water treatment systems, in-situ technologies and vapor mitigation systems. Experience in performing pilot tests, preparing design reports including equipment specifications and cost evaluations, and providing construction oversight for implementation of all aspects of site remediation systems is preferred. Must have strong analytical skills, the ability to clearly write, give verbal presentations and articulate new approaches through written proposals. Must have knowledge of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Site Remediation Regulations and Guidance. N-2 operator license is a plus. Business development experience is a plus.
Project Manager/LSRP
Due to our company's recent growth, we are looking for an environmental Project Manager/Licensed Site Remediation Professional (LSRP) with at least 10 years experience in environmental consulting. Must have knowledge of New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection (NJDEP) Site Remediation Regulations and Guidance. Must have been in charge of investigation, remediation and compliance projects of significant complexity, including supervision of staff and contractors. Must have had substantial interaction with clients and regulatory agencies. The ability to clearly write, give verbal presentations, and articulate new approaches through written proposals is a must. Business development experience is a plus. An LSRP License is a plus.
Environmental Scientist/Engineer/Geologist
3-5 years hands on experience conducting environmental due diligence investigations including Phase I/II Environmental Site Assessments, ISRA-related Preliminary Assessments, and similar projects. Familiarity with NJ Technical Requirements for site remediation, ISRA, and ground water sampling procedures is a major plus. Candidate should be OSHA 40 hour trained and be able to spend approximately 30% of his/her time performing field work such as soil and ground water sampling.
Structural Engineer
Whitman is seeking a Structural Engineer with 3-5 years experience in design of steel, concrete, masonry and timber structures for applications including building analysis/design and telecom installations. B.S. Degree in Engineering is required; E.I.T. certification is preferred. Position will require a working knowledge of ASCE 7 and IBC 2009. Qualified candidates will have computer application experience including RAM Structural System, RAM Element and AutoCAD.
Asbestos Safety Technician
Valid New Jersey Asbestos Safety Technician (AST) license required. Minimum of 2 years of experience performing building surveys and monitoring asbestos abatements at publicly and privately owned facilities. Experience in supervising asbestos abatement contractors is necessary, and experience in preparing reports a plus.
