This project is located on an approximately 15 acre property and resulted in the construction of an approximately 240 unit apartment building on property that was used for industrial purposes as early as the mid 1800’s. This Brownfield Redevelopment project was selected by the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection to be managed through their Office of Brownfield Reuse.

Whitman’s role in the project was to perform all of the environmental investigations, develop a Remedial Action Workplan to practically address site contamination, and manage the remedial action. The long industrial history and transformation of the property to residential resulted in many complex environmental issues, all of which were addressed by Whitman.
